Featured Rescue - Eva the Calico has a broken leg!

Today's Featured Rescue is Eva. See below for more info about Eva ... courtesy of http://www.allistonhumane.com/

Alliston & District Humane Society faces huge challenges when it comes to covering the medical expenses of animals in their care. Even the cost of spaying and vaccinating a healthy animal far exceeds the adoption fee we collect for each animal.

A case in point is little Eva, a friendly, healthy one year old calico female cat who was being fed as part of a stray and feral colony of cats by a resident of Tosorontio township. She was brought into our care on a cold weekend in February 2010. She had a broken leg, which probably occurred when she sought shelter under the hood of a warm vehicle and caught her leg in a fan belt. Since ADHS is a no-kill humane society, we authorized a critical surgery to correct a spiral fracture of her left femur. She will need lots of time and tender care to recover; by the time she is ready for adoption, her medical bills will exceed one thousand dollars!

If you'd like to help us with the cost of Eva's surgery and rehabilitation, donations can be made by clicking on the "Chip In" menu button. All donations will be given to Alliston & District Humane Society and will be directed towards veterinary bills.

I wish I could help with a donation but I can't right now. If I get paid by some things I am doing, I sure will be back.
That is a pretty kitty and I hope she finds a good home.

Hi ...

I think your cause is excellent, and I wish you all the best, but just random posting on blogs not at all related, and which you obviously have not read is kind of rude. I will leave your post up because I believe in freedom of speech, but please do not solicit money on my site -- that is NOT what This, That and The Other is about. Thanks!
